My friends and I have often commiserated together about this and come up with all sorts of wild answers, none of which really seemed to hit the mark. Then one day it hit me. I had observed that I was only strongly attracted to about one in fifty of all the women I met. Could it possible be that only one in fifty of them was strongly attracted to me? Such a mind shattering, ego-deflating, thoroughly repulsive idea should obviously have been unceremoniously dumped on the spot. Alas for a scientific training. I couldn't get the damn thing out of my head until I checked it out. By now your agile brains have probably figured out the worst. Most of my friends, male and female confirmed that they too were only strongly attracted to about 2% of the people they met. Now for the really awful part of the whole thing. If you and I meet for the first time, what is the probability that we will both be very attracted to each other? Statisticians say (may they never have a good relationship) that if there is only a one in fifty (2%) chance of my really liking you, and also only a one in fifty chance of you liking me a lot, then the chances of us both being strongly attracted to each other is only one in 2500 (50 times 50). I was explaining this to a friend at a Friday night dance and he walked off muttering under his breath. I don't blame him. If you have found the solution to this problem, we would all like to hear from you, you clever thing. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Singles Site of the Week - Incurable Romantix huge list of links to singles information and sites: ttp://www.buildingyourself.com/luvlinks.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ALL SINGLES DANCE SHEDULE: MARCH Fri. 24 Sheraton Crescent Hotel, 2620 W.
